O2 offers the Joggler as alternative upgrade to a new phone
O2’s new device, the Joggler, is being offered to customers as an alternative upgrade to a new phone.
Existing O2 customers can currently pick up the £150 device for free when upgrading on any contract, if they commit to another 18 months on their tariff.
The Joggler is a touch-screen device that acts as an organisational tool for families by functioning as a calendar, which can send free text reminders to O2 phones. The device also provides access to live news and weather reports, and acts as a digital photo frame.
The Joggler, which entered stores at the beginning of April, is understood to have sold better than many staff expected and is part of O2’s strategy to target families. It has also recently started to advertise on groceries such as milk.
More functions could be added to the device, with radio streaming available
Some handset manufacturers are in talks with O2 over how they can integrate their device with the Joggler.
An O2 spokeswoman said: ‘We’re really pleased with the response since launch and that so many families are benefiting from the calendar and other features on the O2 Joggler to help their lives run more smoothly.’
