O2 deal with Michael Jackson ticket enquiries
The O2 press office handled calls all night dealing with the upset caused by the death of Michael Jackson.
Phone calls from America were passed on to the operator as the official concert organiser AEG Live could not be contacted.
The O2 arena was set to host 50 come back gigs due to begin on 13 July.
A spokesperson from O2 said: ‘The focus has been on his death rather than on tickets.’
‘The difficult thing with tickets is that people bought them from different vendors and it depends on the terms and conditions from the vendor.’
An official statement on the website said: ‘At this moment our thoughts are with Michael's children, family and friends.
‘We will announce ticketing details in due course.’
AEG Live is facing liability of up to £300m in refunding the cost of tickets.
