Orange appoints Ian Smith as head of brand communications
Orange has appointed Ian Smith as the head of brand communications, taking responsibility for advertising, digital and media strategy.
Smith will leave his current position of acting head of brand and sponsorship partnerships. He will start in his new role on 20 July, when Hattie Magee returns from maternity leave. He will report directly to brand director Spencer McHugh, who was appointed as brand director in April after the departure of Justin Billingsley.
McHugh said: ‘Ian has been instrumental in the success of media, advertising, sponsorship and partnership programmes for Orange UK, and brings with him a wealth of brand and communications experience, and expertise.
‘I look forward to working closely with Ian in his new role to continue to strengthen our brand, which when used in the right way, is our most powerful and inspiring asset.’
