O2 launches technical support line
O2 broadband customers are being offered technical advice and support over the telephone from 1 July.
The service will be available as a one-off, pay-as-you-use service or as a bolt-on with a monthly charge for a minimum of three months.
Customers will be offered three different types of service differing in price depending on what they have signed up to, and one-off service users will not be charged if the problem can not be fixed.
Jonathan Earle, head of pay monthly at O2, said: ‘We have listened to what our customers have asked for and believe that O2 Tech Support will differentiate us in this market.’
The cheapest pay-as-you-use option will cost £14.69 and covers setup and installation, while the lowest price for a monthly commitment is £7.34.
