O2 launches training facility for indirect channel partners
O2 is refreshing its focus on the SME market with the launch of its Partner Academy, a training facility for its indirect channel partners.
The Northampton based facility will develop O2’s centre of excellence partners by training its partners’ sales teams on delivering product, and also sales and management training.
The Partner Academy follows a pilot programme that sold training for sales consultants and account managers.
O2’s Centre of Excellence partners are eligible for a range of the training services as part of their commitment to O2 but the training will be open to other O2 partners.
O2 said its SME channel partners delivered 25% year on year growth in connections while reducing churn to ‘single digits’.
The network has partnered sales development consultancy company, Space2 to deliver the training, which will cover all aspects of the sales process, from securing the sale, to qualification and account development.
O2’s head of SME sales, David Plumb (pictured), said: ‘We want to give our key partners the edge in winning and retaining business in this difficult economic climate. We hope that being involved in the Academy will help our partners win profitable new business and ensure they are strong leaders in the market place.’
