3 opens up its mobile broadband base to advertisers
3 has opened up its one million strong mobile broadband base as an advertising channel for companies.
The network is inviting companies to advertise to its mobile broadband users on an advert ‘dashboard’ which pops up every time a dongle is plugged in.
The dashboard will be visible to more than one million mobile broadband users and receives more than 30m impressions every month.
The network is yet to confirm any company partnerships for the dashboard advertising schem, but is looking for a set of exclusive partnerships, to advertise until the end of the year.
The ‘dashboard’ is already used in 3 UK’s sister network in Austria, which is already running campaigns with brands such as VW, Suzuki, Kia, Peugeot, Mazda, Honda and Land Rover.
3’s head of advertising, Neil Andrews, said: 'Our mobile broadband offering is seeing a huge amount of uptake. This new opportunity presents brands with the opportunity of getting in front of a large target audience in a bold and visible manner.’
