Phones 4u stores in mobile broadband push
Phones 4u hopes to increase sales on mobile broadband and laptops with strict new targets for store managers.
Retail outlets have been asked to ensure 10% of all contract volume is now mobile broadband or mobile broadband and laptop sales.
Store managers will lose 25% of their own bonus if the targets are not met.
However, staff commissions will not be affected.
Meanwhile, the retailer also introduced a new Acer netbook in stores this month – the Acer Aspire One, available for £25 per month on an Orange 24 month contract.
A Phones 4u spokeswoman said: ‘The initiative is aimed at store managers to further improve the mobile broadband and laptop category and drive focus, as in any sales business.’
