Carphone launches ‘0% commission, 100% impartial advice’ ad campaign
Carphone Warehouse has launched an advertising campaign to highlight that it no longer pays commission to store staff..
Adverts with the slogan ‘0% commission, 100% impartial advice’ have appeared in national and regional newspapers including the News of the World and the Metro.
Online advertising has appeared on Yahoo, MSN, Facebook and AOL.
The advertising strategy comes on the back of Carphone’s decision to stop commission payments to its retail staff in May.
The scheme, labelled as a ‘The New Deal’ by sales and customer director Steve Blan, saw an increase in basic pay and a move towards store profit share.
The changes were introduced in May, but were trialled in London before it was rolled out nationally.
