Alcatel pushes ahead on handset range with new smartphone
Alcatel will release a raft of new devices this year, after launching its first ever touch-screen and smartphone last week.
The manufacturer announced its first ever touch-screen, the Touch Mini, which is due in Orange, Vodafone and Tesco Mobile stores from September.
The Alcatel Tribe OT-800 smartphone (pictured) is set for Tesco Mobile in October.
Alcatel’s UK sales director, William Paterson, said: ‘This year, Alcatel have got some great new handsets and collaborations.’
He added: ‘We wanted to offer customers an affordable, fuss-free alternative to costly contract PDAs and we’ve developed the Tribe especially for this. With all the same features and more, and for less than £50, we believe the Tribe will be a winner with the UK public.’
