Motorola partners exclusively with Orange for Android device
Motorola has announced its first Android device in an exclusive partnership with Orange.
The handset features a new technology, Motoblur, which automatically organises conversations, contacts and content.
Orange is offering the phone for free to customers who sign up to a 24 month contract at £34.26 a month from early October.
Motorola Western Europe general manager, Ralf Gerbershagen, said: ‘Today’s phone needs to be more than just “smart”. It needs to be social.
‘Dext with Motoblur brings the most important social connections in your life front and centre to your home screen meaning you can spend more time living your life and less time managing it.’
Orange director of devices, Francois Mahieu said: ‘We’re really pleased to be exclusively offering the Dext to UK consumers.
‘The device builds on our commitment to bring the latest innovative multimedia handsets to market and fits perfectly with our existing portfolio of products and services - allowing consumers to make the most from their social networks on the mobile.’
The handset includes a 5 megapixel camera, is in a QWERTY slider format and has a touch screen.
