Orange launches new music application
Orange has announced a new application called ‘the sound of Orange RockCorps’ which will allow users to create their own versions of music they listen to and post it online.
The new application developed by digital agency Poke, allows users to record their own versions of the music they listen to through the Orange music portal.
Users will be able to make the music by themselves or partner with their friends via Facebook, where a posted track will appear on the newsfeed.
The aim of the application is to increase awareness of Orange RockCorps, a volunteer initiative that rewards volunteers with tickets to gigs.
The new application will be updated every month with new music and feature a ‘top performance’ section where the best tracks will be showcased.
Orange brand director, Spencer McHugh said: ‘The sound of Orange RockCorps is about encouraging friends to have fun making music together. Hopefully the new application will also help to increase awareness of the
'Orange RockCorps programme resulting in more volunteers helping their local communities.’
