Vodafone to sell Apple iPhone in UK

Vodafone has clinched a deal to sell the Apple iPhone in the UK and Ireland. The news comes just one day after Orange announced its deal to sell Apple iPhones in the UK, which broke O2's UK monopoly.

The move confirms analysts predictions that Apple plans to increase its distribution channels in the UK.

Vodafone, like Orange, will supply both the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS to the UK and Ireland in early 2010.

Vodafone has invited its UK and Irish customers to register their interest in iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS from today.   The firm has yet to announce pricing, tariffs and availability.
