has unwrapped the latest offering in its Chocolate phone series with the launch of the
Chocolate BL20 sliding pad handset.
The phone follows
closely on the heels of the Chocolate BL40 launched in early September and will
be available in the UK
before Christmas via O2.
The new phone is
similar to the original minimalist Chocolate design with a glossy black surface
and red highlights but includes a sliding keypad handset with refined red
navigation keys revealed when the phone slides open.
The BL20 features a
5-megapixel camera. The casing measures 12.3mm in depth. The handset also
features touch-sensitive controls concealed on the sides of the phone.
Widget Hotkeys allows
users to directly access features for weather, news or personal updates. The
handset also includes Clear Memo Capture, a new feature which captures text,
handwritten notes and drawings.
LG Mobile UK marketing
head, Jeremy Newing, said: ‘Boasting advanced new features such as Widget
Hotkeys and Clear Memo Capture, the BL20 offers consumers a design alternative
to the already successful BL40 with its widescreen display.”
Dr. Skott Ahn,
president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications said the BL20 expands
the Chocolate series ‘but at a more affordable price.’
