Vodafone lands Rolls-Royce fixed-line deal worth £15m
Vodafone UK has announced it has secured an agreement with Rolls-Royce to manage its network of over 33,000 fixed-line phones, in a £15m, five year deal.
The agreement, which spans six countries as part of Rolls-Royce’s Global ?Voice Network, covers the upgrade of the company’s existing voice network technology and its ongoing management. Vodafone UK will also provide helpdesk and front line support.
Vodafone said the deal was a move into the fixed-line world, which has become increasingly important for the operator.
Vodafone’s enterprise director, Peter Kelly, said: ‘This agreement clearly demonstrates the importance that Rolls-Royce places on communication and the need to work with a partner that can deliver services on the fixed line.
‘The agreement marks another step forward in the delivery of Vodafone UK’s Unified Communications strategy.’
