Huawei appoints former BT man as chief technology officer

Huawei has announced the appointment of a new global chief technology officer, Matt Bross.

Bross joins the Chinese manufacturer from BT where he previously held the positions of group chief technology officer and CEO of BT innovate.

He will start in the new position from 1 October and will be responsible for identifying global trends in telecommunications and network infrastructure.

Huawei executive vice president, Ken Hu said: ‘Matt Bross is a communications technology visionary with a wealth of industry experience. He is also a business leader with a strong spirit of innovation and will help Huawei better understand customer requirements to create more business value.’
