Vodafone 360 Samsung H1 phone to launch on 30 October

The first handset to deliver the new Vodafone 360 experience, the Vodafone 360 Samsung H1, will be available on 30 October.

The phone will be free on 24-month contracts of £35 and above and comes with an unlimited data package. Customers can order the phone online from Vodafone today.

The handset is the first of a number of devices tailor-made for the company to carry the Vodafone 360 set of internet services for mobiles and PCs. Vodafone 360 brings together a customer’s friends, social networks and online communities, music, games, photos and video in one place.

The Samsung H1 features a 3.5” high definition OLED screen, 16GB memory, WiFi, a maximum talk time of over 400 minutes (3G) and a 5 megapixel camera. It provides a 3D display that brings a customer’s most frequently contacted friends and family to the front of the phone when it is switched on.

Vodafone 360 automatically syncs all contacts from phones, Facebook, Windows Live Messenger and Google Talk and will soon include Twitter. Content is automatically backed up to the internet, so content can be replaced if it is lost.

Other handsets and operating systems from a variety of manufacturers can access Vodafone 360. Non-Vodafone customers can also access some of the range of services, linking them to their social networks via mobile.
