Mobile Data Association launches new consumer website

The Mobile Data Association (MDA) is looking for sponsors for a new consumer website.

The new site had been built in line with a range of upcoming UK-wide initiatives, including a major national project before the end of 2009.

The new site’s aim is to be the ‘trusted online zone’ for UK consumers needing to access their device settings information, and helping them to realise the ‘rich media capabilities’ of their mobile phones.

The MDA is hoping to assemble the ‘fragmented settings information’, which currently resides across resellers’, mobile network operators’ and handset manufacturers’ websites, into the site.

The website will be a ‘critical online reference point upporting a national level project in December 2009, and the hub of further activity being planned towards the 2012 Olympics’, the MDA said.

It added: ‘This website provides an opportunity to expose your messages to a considerable volume of mobile consumers actively seeking richer media mobile.’
