Embedded mobile technology to propel mobile industry
GSMA, the organiser of the mobile world congress has claimed that the mobile industry will continue to grow and expand through embedded mobile technology.
The organisation represents the interests of the global mobile communications industry.
GSMA chief government and regulatory affairs officer, Tom Phillips said that the industry is moving on person to person communication to include embedded technology.
He added that devices which are currently unconnected will carry an embedded Sim card providing greater levels of connectivity. An example of an embedded device is the Amazon Kindle.
Vodafone opened a unit dedicated to the embedded technology in July with 100 staff.
