Tesco Mobile’s capped tariff takes off
The economic downturn is driving sales of Tesco Mobile’s recently launched capped tariff.
Tesco Mobile marketing manager Noel Burrows told Mobile that sales of the capped tariff since its September launch had exceeded expectations.
He added: ‘It is going really well with families and with those consumers feeling the impact of the economic downturn.’
The hybrid product works by setting a cap on the monthly credit used on the contract. Once the limit is exceeded, the user has to top-up, until the next month’s credit kicks in.
