Virgin Media to demo 3D TV in new London store
Virgin Media’s newest store will host the first permanent public demonstration of 3D TV when it opens on Oxford Street this Friday (6 November).
The shop is the 21st retail destination opened by the company so far this year, bringing its number of own-branded locations across the country to 44.
Customers visiting the store will be able to see demonstrations of Virgin Media’s core products, including ultrafast fibre optic broadband, bespoke ‘Freedom’ netbooks, and mobile phones.
Staff will be on hand to offer in-store help and advice on money saving options and how to add more value to existing Virgin Media packages, the company said.
It will also offer deals in-store during its first few weeks of opening, including a competition with a grand prize of a VIP Virgin Media bundle worth £1,300, including 50MB broadband, a V+ HD box plus subscription to a huge range of TV channels, a top landline phone package and a free Freedom netbook.
The new London Virgin Media store is located at 133/135 Oxford Street, W1D 2HY.
Virgin Media executive director of consumer sales Peter Taddeo said: ‘We’re delighted to establish a significant presence for Virgin Media on the UK’s busiest high street.
‘Our store has been designed to give customers the chance to try before they buy, so they can get a great idea of the quality and range of entertainment and communications services Virgin Media has to offer. For the very first time we’re also showcasing exciting 3D television which I hope will give people a fun break from the hectic rush of Christmas shopping.’
