3 puts Christmas push on INQ Mini 3G and Mi-Fi
3 is cutting the price of mobile Wi-Fi and the INQ Mini 3G in a bid to push the devices in the run-up to Christmas.
The operator has introduced a range of new price initiatives for the mobile broadband product, called Mi-Fi, which uses 3’s network to send out a Wi-Fi signal.
It is now available on pay as you go and can be bought as part of a packaged deal, which includes a wireless modem, for an up front payment of £49.99 rather than £69.99.
The INQ Mini 3G will be cut to £49.99, from £59.99.
The operator is promoting the handset through a range of initiatives, including in-store promotion and ‘seeding’ INQ handsets to store staff.
One 3 staffer said: ‘The INQ handsets are quite popular, but are really aimed at the entry-level market – people are buying them with the internet texter tariff.
‘All the store managers have been given them and they are quite easy to use.’
