Vodafone launch date set for second Samsung 360 handset
The Vodafone 360 Samsung H1 (pictured) handset was rolled out across all of the operator’s stores this week and a second Vodafone 360 device – the Samsung M1 – is due within the next two weeks.
The network has launched a ‘geek squad’ style service, with teams of specially trained technical advisers on hand at its 20 flagship stores to help customers understand the Vodafone 360 offering. Staff in its other stores have received training on the service.
Vodafone has also forged a deal to sell its 360 Samsung handsets in Phones 4u and Carphone Warehouse stores from mid-November, Mobile understands.
The operator launched its Vodafone 360 initiative, which offers a range of internet services for both mobile and PC, at the end of October. It allows users to stay in touch and share experiences through social networks, instant messaging, email, apps, maps, music and through buying digital content on their mobile bill.
The service works across a range of mobile phones, as well as the tailor-made Vodafone 360 Samsung handsets.
A Vodafone spokeswoman said: ‘It has only just been launched but already it has had a very positive reaction. Sales are going well and the stores have had lots of footfall. We are now talking to other retailers about supplying our 360 handsets.’
