Head of marketing Newing leaves LG amid marketing rethink
LG Mobile is rethinking its marketing strategy as it looks to gain share and consolidate its brands.
As a result, head of marketing Jeremy Newing (pictured) has left the company.
The manufacturer will now aim to link its mobile product branding with other electronic goods, such as flat screen TVs, DVD players, and music equipment.
LG sales and marketing director John Barton told Mobile that the company wished Newing ‘our very best’, and added: ‘There will be more coming through about how the brand will be bolstered and represented in a uniform way across everything. So much that we do is linked between the products.’
Newing took on the marketing role in December 2007, replacing Gary Venn, who resigned in October 2007.
