Mobile application company recruits Orange retail chief
A mobile application and service company has recruited former Orange retail chief, Bob Johnson to take on the role of CEO of its mobile application division, Rok Talk.
Johnson has a wide range of experience in the mobile industry. He started his career at Motorola and developed a distribution strategy for the manufacturer.
During his time at Orange he was responsible for the operator’s retail distribution programme and the ‘channels to market’ operations.
ROK Chairman and CEO Jonathan Kendrick said: ‘Bob is a fantastic addition to the team at ROK as he brings not only his vast experience but his proven abilities in the mobile industry.’
Johnson said: ‘I am delighted to be joining the highly entrepreneurial, engaged, focused and dynamic team at ROK and I’m looking forward to contributing all I can to help drive the business forward across new product development, acquisitions and deployments around the world.’
