Nokia to cut R&D staff in Finland and Denmark
Nokia has admitted that up to 330 staff in R&D operations in Finland and Denmark could be cut, in tha manufacturer’s latest move to ‘streamline’ its operations.
Around 230 staff in Finland and 100 staff in Denmark could be affected by the decision.
The manufacturer claims that the redundancies represent around 2 % of its R&D personnel globally. It has around 17,000 R&D employees worldwide
It also claimed that it will try to support employees with alternative solutions and find new positions in the company for as many as possible. It will be discussing voluntary severance with others.
