Israeli based application company, Fring has launched a new version of its VoiP service for the Symbian platform.

The company, which specialises in VoiP applications, recently launched an Android application – the first of its kind.

Users of the Fring application can use VoiP services between each other or through Skype or GoogleTalk.

The new application allows users to make mobile video calls for the first time and is only available on the Symbian platform, but there are plans for an iPhone version.

Co-founder and CEO of fring, Avi Shechter said: ‘Fring was the first to bring Nokia, iPhone and Android users the choice to make free calls together with live chat over their devices’ internet connection, the first to enable cost-saving mobile twitter over internet, and now we’re proud to continue leading the field with the world’s first mobile video over internet including fring and Skype mobile video calls.’
