Noel Burrows takes the helm at Tesco Mobile Ireland this week with a brief to increase the firm's presence in Ireland.
Burrows will oversee the strategic direction of the business. He is tasked with developing Tesco Mobile’s challenger position, increasing market share, building its store and online presence and raising customer awareness.
Burrows commented, ‘This is a fantastic opportunity and I am looking forward to the challenge of making Tesco Mobile Ireland as successful and appealing a brand as in the UK.’
‘Tesco Mobile’s commitment to fantastic value has a strong resonance in the Irish market where price has never been more important to consumers. We will be growing our store and online presence and driving awareness so customers know where to come for the best mobile deals.’
Tesco Mobile Ireland was launched in November 2007, building a strong customer base as the cheapest PAYG network in Ireland.
Burrows is a founding member of the Tesco Mobile UK team. As Tesco Mobile marketing head he led projects that included the launch of Favourite Numbers, Pay Monthly and the Unlimited tariff.
