HTC HD2 Windows Mobile smartphone hits O2 shelves

HTC’s ‘hotcake’ smartphone, the HTC HD2, hit O2 stores this week (24 November).

The device, which has only been available on Vodafone up until now, will be free on O2’s 18 month, £45 tariff.

The HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphone has a 4.3-inch multi-touch display, Snapdragon processor, a five-megapixel camera, GPS and HSDPA.

O2 general manager for devices Steve Alder said: ‘The HD2 is the first HTC branded phone to be sold on O2. We love the large screen and the combination of Windows Mobile 6.5 with HTC Sense.’

He added: ‘We are proud to be the home of smartphones and the HTC HD2 adds a new dimension to the range of devices we offer to our customers.’
