Advertising Standards Agency confirms Orange ad probe
The Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) has confirmed it is investigating the complaint made by 3 against Orange in October 2009.

The dispute began when Orange ran an advertising campaign to promote the speed of its network in the run-up to the launch of the iPhone.

The campaign included the claim that the Orange network covers 93% of the population.
At the time of the complaint, 3 said the method of measuring 3G coverage was misleading and confusing for customers.

3 has been working on its 3G network and is aiming to have 12,500 sites by the end of 2010.

An ASA spokesperson said: 'We can confirm that we are investigating the complaint and a report will be published in due course.'
