MWC: Orange and T-Mobile to stock Samsung Wave from April

Samsung's flagship device - the Samsung Wave S8500 - will be available from Orange and T-Mobile from April.

The handset manufacturer said the device will be competitively priced at around £280 as part of its 'Smartphones for Everyone' campaign which aims to make smartphones available to all market levels.

The Wave, launched at Mobile World Congress yesterday, is Samsung's first device to run on the Korean manufacturer's Bada platform.

Samsung has pledged to market the handset aggressively, with the biggest marketing campaign ever.

The Samsung Wave comes with a 1GHz processor, and a 3.3-inch 'Super AMOLED' display which the manufacturer claims has done away with reflective problems linked to other OLED displays.

The device also features the Social Hub which functions on a unique push service that integrates everything from users' contacts to emails on to a single delivery point.

The phone also boasts TouchWiz v.30 user interface, Samsung said this is its most customisable interface yet.
