TouchType launches text product
London based TouchType has launched a predictive text technology called FluencyMobile.

The company claims it will enable users to write 50% more efficiently than other solutions.Tests show that it can predict a third of all words without a button being pressed and nearly 85% of words within two characters, said Jonathan Reynolds, CEO of TouchType.

It has a very powerful personalisation service, as it learns how the consumer likes to say things.

TouchType also corrects typing errors, reduces high input error rates made on small mobile keyboards, corrects common spelling errors, automatically adds apostrophes and inserts accents for non-English character entries.

The technology will be in US and British English for users of Google's Android platform via an exclusive release at the Mobile World Congress. The official launch is scheduled for the end of February.
