Best Buy announces location of fourth store
Best Buy has added a fourth location to its store estate ahead of it opening in the UK in Spring this year.
The new store will be located in Aintree, Liverpool and will create 100 jobs. Other sites announced so far are: Thurrock in Essex, Merry Hill in the West Midlands and Hedge End near Southampton.
The company claimed that it has received over 8,000 applications since announcing the first three stores.
Best Buy CEO of branded operations, Paul Antoniadis said: ‘This announcement marks a further step forward in our plans to launch Best Buy in the UK this Spring. We’ve received over 8,000 applications for positions in our first three stores, and I’ve been truly excited about the high calibre of people we’ve seen and the enthusiasm they’ve shown. I’m confident that we’ll see that same passion and quality of candidates as we begin our recruitment drive in Aintree.’
Selected applicants will be sent on a nine week training course called the ‘blue shirt academy’.
