Phones 4u to expand sales of Virgin and Sky to all stores
Phones 4u’s entire retail estate will start to sell Sky and Virgin television and broadband packages as the stores are refreshed.
The independent retailer has been selling the product packages for some time, but as stores are refreshed it will be introduced to all stores.
Phones 4u media stores were initially selling the product.
One staffer said: ‘Most Phones 4u staff will be aware of what services Sky and Virgin offer, but anyone new to selling it might be a bit intimidated.’
Phones 4u is currently in the process of refreshing its entire retail estate and also has three stores in Currys superstores.
The move to open concessions in Currys was interpreted in many quarters as a challenge to Carphone Warehouse’s Wireless World stores.
Wireless World stores also sell Sky and Virgin TV and broadband packages.
Phone’s 4u retail development director, John Welsh, said: ‘We have been selling Sky and Virgin only in selected stores and as the store refresh takes place we will introduce it to each store.’
