Former Lebara MD Rob Gaskin hired by Transatel
Orange MVNO aggregator Transatel has taken on former Lebara MD Robert Gaskin as a consultant for the company.
Gaskin has been working with the platform since the start of 2010 to attract MVNO business. He has previously worked at 3 and Virgin.
Transatel has already launched four MVNOs since the service began and hopes to have 20 running by the end of the year.
Transatel CEO Jacques Bonifay said: ‘Transatel runs an MVNO in France and Belgium and it knows the problems of the customer.’
He added: ‘This is an opportunity for companies that have not had a chance to launch their own MVNO. It costs between £1m and £2m to set up an MVNO, and we can reduce that price by 10-20%.’
