INQ to sponsor Channel 4 music show
Handset manufacturer INQ, is ramping up its efforts in
social media and music through a presence on TV and on Spotify.
The manufacturer, which recently entered the Indian market, has
teamed up with Channel 4 as the headline sponsor of a new TV show
called KOKO Pop.
Six 30-minute shows will be broadcast on Saturday mornings from
10 April. The show is in conjunction with KOKO TV, the TV arm of
Camden music venue KOKO.
As sponsor of the programme, INQ will have exclusive access to
backstage pictures and videos, which will be posted on its
As well as showcasing KOKO Pops on INQs Facebook page, the
manufacturer will also be asking fans to suggest songs for its
new radio show on Spotify.
Radio INQ will be recorded on 12 April and the tracklist will be
made up from fans suggestions.
INQ co-founder and marketing director, Jeff Taylor, said: INQ is
a very different brand to the old manufacturers, so it's very
natural for us to use new and different ways to talk to people
about our brand and our products.
The internet is at the heart of our brand, and just like lots of
people who use our phones, we use Spotify and Facebook every day
so both make perfect sense for us. We've already had a
fantastic response from our Facebook fans to taking part in both
Radio INQ and KOKO TV.
