HTC reports revenues up 19%
Android specialist HTC has reported a 19.3% revenue surge to £800m for the first quarter, compared with one year ago.

The results see the manufacturer beat its own forecast of £666m to £700m for the first quarter of 2010.

Net profit was £104m - up very slightly on the year ago quarter.

The smartphone manufacturer said it saw strong business momentum during the period.

Meanwhile, industry commentators said HTC's momentum was due to successful pushing of its brand to consumers during the past year.
