Lebara launches mobile internet portal

Lebara has launched a mobile portal featuring nationally focused sites in different languages for its customers.

The MVNO has launched the online portal, to be accessed through handsets, to provide news, sport and entertainment to its customers.

The information available through the portal will targeted at six communities and will be available in five different languages including: English, Hindi, Urdu, Arabic, Polish and Filipino.

The portal will also provide downloads straight from customers’ home countries, such as games in different languages, ringtones and wallpaper.

The new services are available now to all customers with internet-enabled handsets.

Coinciding with the launch of the portal, the MVNO is offering free browsing of up to 10MB a day until 30 June.

Lebara CEO, Yoganathan Ratheesan said: ‘To millions of customers around the world, Lebara is seen as leading the way in providing services which bring them closer to their friends, family and community. The launch of our mobile portal and downloads further emphasises our commitment to this goal.

‘Lebara is building on its position as the global leader in international mobile services, and we will continue to innovate to provide the best possible experience to our customers throughout the group and within the UK.’
