Orange, Vodafone and O2 to stock iPad in the UK

Orange, Vodafone and O2 have announced they will sell Apple's iPad in the UK, with  price plans due to be revealed at the end of May.

No official launch dates have been announced by any of the operators as yet.

Vodafone said: 'Vodafone today announced that it will offer dedicated iPad price plans for all models from the end of May in Australia, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK.

'The iPad lets users browse the web, read and send email, enjoy and share photos, watch HD videos, listen to music, play games, read ebooks and much more, all using iPads revolutionary Multi-Touch user interface.'

Orange said: ‘Orange today announced that it will offer dedicated iPad price plans for all models from the end of May in the UK.’

O2 added: ‘O2 today announced that it will offer dedicated iPad price plans for all models from the end of May in the UK.’

Apple announced today that it would delay the release of the iPad in the UK for another month, due to overwhelming demand in the US.

A spokesman for Apple said the company had delivered more than 500,000 iPads during its first week and that demand was 'far higher' than the manufacturer predicted.

I agree with some of the sentiments above. The UK operators did not say that they would sell the device. They might just be selling micro-SIM plus dat ...
Wrong. Apple will only stock the device directly and through their website. Mobile operators will not be stocking the iPad at launch.
