Orange appoints temporary retail director

Orange has appointed head of store development and strategy Carol Remmers as temporary retail director.

Remmers will take on the role of former retail director Sian Doyle on a temporary basis, after she left the network in March to take on a role at an operator in another country.

Doyle had held the position at Orange since March 2006, where she was integral in rolling out the operator’s 400-strong retail estate.

Remmers, who worked on Orange’s joint venture with T-Mobile, is thought to be a well-respected figure within the company.

Orange confirmed the move but added that it was still recruiting for Doyle’s position.
