Tesco Mobile trials broadband and fixed line service

Tesco Mobile trials broadband and fixed line service
Tesco Mobile is planning to relaunch its new broadband and fixed line service following its deal with Cable and Wireless last year. The new service is currently being test driven by 'a few hundred' Tesco Mobile customers and will be rolled out later this year.

The supermarket giant is taking a cautious stance to the relaunch of the service. Lance Bachelor, head of Tesco Telecoms told Mobile: 'We will scale up in a controlled way, using ClubCard to talk to customers and target areas of growth and to make sure customers get a great service.'

Bachelor added: 'Cable and Wireless is proving to be an excellent partner in the venture.' He said that the service will offer 'very competitive pricing'.

Deals start at £8 a month with £11 line rental for an evening and weekend package and £12 per month with £11 a month line rental under the 'anytime' package.

The broadband service will also bundle across a wide range of goods and services, selling, for example, laptops with the broadband package.
