LG launches Viewty (GT405) handset on 3 today

LG Electronics has launched the LG Viewty GT (GT405) handset on 3 today.

The Viewty GT is free on new contracts starting at just £15 per month or for sale at £119 on pay-as-you-go.

The Viewty GT is being marketed as an affordable way to take and send photos on the move. The customisable three-inch touchscreen device features a five-megapixel camera with auto focus and comes with a photo editing function.

Working through the touch-screen, the photo editor allows owners to add text or special effects to their images and carry out tasks such as cropping, resizing and adjusting colours and brightness.

The 3G-enabled LG Viewty GT has a customisable desktop with widgets, allowing for even faster access to the most frequently used features. On top of that, photos can be added to the favourite contacts list to add another personal touch.

The handset also includes the LG Muvee Studio, which will allow users to create slideshows of their favourite snaps while adding MP3 music tracks to play while the shots are displayed.

Other key features of the handset include an FM radio, dedicated MP3 player, up to 200 minutes of 3G talktime, PC sync for Microsoft Outlook, and an embedded stylus.

Paul Trueman, marketing director at LG, commented: ‘The Viewty GT is a great mobile that allows you to take pictures on the move and the handy photo editor makes it a perfect device for the enthusiastic photographers out there. Better yet, the stylish handset is feature-packed but comes at a price that won't break the bank.’
