3 is launching data plans for the iPad, further fuelling speculation that it on cusp of announcing an iPhone deal.
The network will offer dedicated data plans for iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G from May 28, with all plans available without a contract. The operator is offering 1GB of data for £7.50 per month, or 10 GB for £15.
None of the networks currently range the iPad in stores, but it is thought that this will change in the coming months.
Apple is due to release details on its fourth generation iPhone on 7 June. 3 CEO Kevin Russell has said that 3 hopes to range the iPhone this year.
3 sales and marketing director, Marc Allera, said: ‘3 is pleased to offer competitive data plans for iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G in the UK. Our network, the largest in the country, has been optimised for the mobile Internet, ensuring our customers enjoy the very best mobile performance on iPad.’
