DSG to sell iPad from Friday

Electronics retailer DSG will sell Apple’s iPad in its UK stores from Friday (28 May).

The retailer has an exclusive deal with Apple to sell the device for 60 days, according to the Times.

The iPad will be sold in 139 of the DSG's stores, which have designated areas that retail Apple products.

The iPad can also be ordered via the Apple website on the say day, with shipping in June.

Orange, O2, Vodafone and 3 are launching data packages for the Sim-enabled device at the end of this month. It will not initially be available to buy through mobile retail, although it is thought operator stores will eventually range the iPad.
