Virgin Media and Nokia team up for V Festival
Virgin Media has partnered with Nokia as the official mobile entertainment partner for this year’s 2010 V Festival.
The partnership will see the launch of special ‘V’ editions of the Nokia 5230 and Nokia X6, which will include exclusive content on the handsets for the festival.
Content for the phones will include Ovi apps to promote the festival and the events happening across the two days, free tracks from the Nokia Music Store, games and wall paper.
Virgin media director of mobile, Jonathan Kini said: ‘We’re thrilled to announce Nokia as our partner for V Festival 2010. With both brands’ long heritage with music, this partnership provides an excellent opportunity for Virgin Media and Nokia to engage with a key audience, with a great app, handsets and on-site activity.’
Nokia UK head of marketing, John Nichols said: ‘We’re delighted to be partnering with Virgin Media for V Festival 2010. The V Festival Ovi app that we’ve created is packed full of info, news and maps that will ensure fans make the most of the great line up and never miss their favourite band.’
The V Festival takes place at Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, Staffordshire on 21 and 22 August.
