Apple to announce new iPhone today
Apple is expected to announce its fourth generation iPhone at its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) later today.
The company’s CEO, Steve Jobs, will reveal the device at around 6pm UK time, when he will also give more details about the iPhone 4.0 OS the phone will be running.
The new iPhone OS 4.0 software brings multi-tasking to the iPhone for the first time. It also features iAd, Apple's mobile advertising platform.
The new iPhone is expected to have a squarer look, with new features, including an improved camera, better battery life, more storage and a higher resolution display.
The WWDC event is for engineers from around the world who write software and applications for Apple products.
