Communicate Better buys IT firm
The Communicate Better Group has bought IT company Advance Computer Systems, building on existing plans to become a ‘converged communications provider’ for its customers.

The deal, which was formally completed on 1 June for an undisclosed sum, will see the employees of Advance Computer Systems moving to Communicate Better’s offices.

The acquisition of the Walkden based IT company is Communicate Better’s third purchase to date. In 2008, it merged with a landline company to form Communicate Better Ltd.

The purchase means that Communicate Better can now provide mobile, landline and IT solutions for its customers.

Communicate Better COO, Mark Dermody (pictured), said: ‘We believe the days of the traditional mobile phone only reseller are coming to end and we need to provide a full range of ICT and related support services.

‘Advance Computer Systems have a huge amount of experience and are experts in their field. Ultimately we are working towards having a single sales force that can sell all the products.’
