O2 to open 243 stores early for iPhone 4 launch
O2 is planning to open more than half of its 400 stores early to deal with demand for the new iPhone when it goes on sale on 24 June.
243 stores across the country will open at 8:02am this Thursday (24 June).
O2 has 400 stores nationwide. Traditionally mobile retailers, such as Carphone, have opened early for customers eager to buy the newest version of the iPhone.
O2 has limited the new Apple handset to existing customers only until the end of July.
Meanwhile, current iPhone users are expecting an upgrade to the operating system today (21 June). The OS 4 has over 100 new features including multitasking, spell checking for emails and 5x digital zoom.
