Vodafone provides unified comms to housing group
Housing company the Seren Group, which provides support and services to people in South Wales and Swindon, has signed an agreement with Vodafone for unified communications.

Vodafone has put together a bespoke unified communications package for the housing group, which often provides urgent advice to vulnerable people.

Features of the package include integrated fixed and mobile services, meaning that colleagues and clients can ring one number to reach an individual. Staff can also access their email, voicemail and fax messages through a single inbox and a new video and teleconferencing service has also be included.

Seren Group head of ICT, Mike Phillips said: ‘We have significantly improved communication thanks to features such as call logging and voicemail in Outlook, which makes accessing and storing voicemails simple.’

Seren employees will soon be able to check the availability of people in the organisation using location technology.
