T-Mobile starts iPhone training for staff
T-Mobile has started preparing its staff for the launch of the iPhone, Mobile understands.
The operator is holding small training group sessions across the country before the iPhone goes on sale at T-Mobile stores.
The training groups will focus on how to sell Apple’s handsets to the right type of customer.
Representatives from each region have been selected for the training and will then be expected to share their knowledge with their colleagues.
T-Mobile was unable to confirm what specific product training its staff are currently receiving.
However, one source said: ‘Training has started on the iPhone at T-Mobile, but we don’t know anything about pricing or the release date yet.
‘There are mixed feelings in the company about it, but we are being trained to deliver the best customer service.’
T-Mobile announced that it would be selling the iPhone at the beginning of June.
At the time of the announcement it said: ‘T-Mobile UK will launch the iPhone 4, the thinnest smartphone in the world with the highest resolution display ever built into a phone. Further information on launch timings, pricing and tariff plans will be revealed in due course.’
