Best Buy chief Antoniadis exits

Best Buy CEO of branded operations, Paul Antoniadis, is leaving the business.

Antoniadis departs after working for the retailer since 1997, with the last three months in his current role.

The marketing and commercial aspects of his role will be taken on by Carphone CEO Andrew Harrison, who has had Best Buy COO added to his current remit.

It is thought that Best Buy is in the process of appointing someone else to take on the remainder of Antoniadis’ responsibilities.

Best Buy CEO Scott Wheway said: 'We are grateful to Paul for his outstanding contributions not only to Best Buy Europe but also the Best Buy business, particularly in China and Mexico and we wish him every success in the future.'
